I've popped by a Millionaire fan game, and found this:

Unfortunately, I have had to remove these games as a company named 2WayTraffic apparently acquired the global rights, assets and businesses of the world renowned format “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” in December 2006. I have been told I am infringing copyright if I keep these games available on my website.

What if the same happens to this forum?!

I doubt that will happen because we're just a fansite. The only thing on this site that 2waytraffic would have the rights to would be the site logo, and that is easily changed if need be. Otherwise, a discussion forum shouldn't be affected.

Most fan games (or at least the good ones) use sound effects and replicated images from the show, which is why they have come under fire. I'd like to be optimistic and say that this is a sign they're working on a new computer game, but I doubt it.
