Hey guys, So recently, I found out that my PowerPoint (2007) has not been working normally lately. This is pretty frustrating for me because I basically use PowerPoint for everything, whether it be graphics-making or developing a game (like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?). The slideshow isn't working. Whenever I try to start a PowerPoint slideshow on any PowerPoint file that I have saved, after a few seconds, a dialog box comes up saying "Microsoft PowerPoint has encountered a problem and needs to close." I don't know what the problem is and I haven't messed with any of the codes for the program or anything technical like that. Does anyone else have this problem as well? Do any of you know a way to fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Zachary wwtbamfan  |

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Office ?

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but how do I uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Office? In Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, there isn't a "Remove" button for Microsoft PowerPoint. Thanks Zachary wwtbamfan |

No. Each Microsoft Office application (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) all are separate "programs" in Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel. Thanks, Zachary wwtbamfan |

Sure. Here it is: Thanks, Zachary wwtbamfan Try and find one that has the PowerPoint logo on it, if there isn't one then your only option is to re-install it. MUI is short for Multi-lingual User Interface which is basically the file that contains the languages. Trust me, I had the same problem about a year back. |
