"Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: Special Editions" is now available in the U.S. on PS3, XBOX 360, and PC! The game, which has been available internationally for quite some time, features classic WWTBAM gameplay and supports downloadable question packs. Seems weird for the US to promote classic gameplay. Interesting.

It is an odd choice, to be sure. In fact, the game actually uses the UK music cues, and the virtual set is pretty obviously modeled off of the UK studio. In a time when Disney wants us to seemingly forget all about classic WWTBAM, they sure have been releasing a lot of merchandise that ties in to the old format!
This game is actually pretty good. It's much more polished than what we've been getting for the last few years. The gameplay is solid, the graphics are a real treat, and most of the sound effects are used correctly. I recommend giving this title a download if you have ten bucks to spare.
