Hopefully this audition will go a lot better than my Millionaire audition back in July 2012.
Anyway, as it has been the requisite 30 days, and that I have well over the requisite 20 posts, it is time for me to throw my hat into the audition ring.
During these last 30 days, I feel I have made significant contributions to the Millionaire Fans Forum; some of which include a translation of 8-year-old Mana Ashida's run in the Japanese Hot Seat, custom-designed cheques for use in Millionaire games, and a brief analysis of what Millionaire has done for the game show genre following the news of the cancellation of the British version.
I have been a fan of Millionaire for years, going back to my days nagging my friends to play Millionaire at recess back in my younger school days. Some teachers--one of whom I actually got to play!--were shocked at how good my impression of Regis was back in those days--don't expect me to duplicate that now, though. I went to Millionaire Play It! as much as I could when it was still open, getting to sit in the Fastest Finger seat once. Never got in the Hot Seat (I got dangerously close once), but my then-9-year-old sister got into the chair and I was allowed to stand alongside the chair and help her. We got to the 32,000 point question, but missed it.
I am very active in the game show community as well; I am a moderator at the Buy a Vowel boards alongside fellow members Prizes and therealcu2010. And if you dig hard enough, you might just find evidence of my appearances on both Jeopardy! and The Price is Right.
I have the utmost respect for game creators (I used to be one myself, but no longer have the drive to do so) and have actually had my material stolen from me in the past--I won't name names publicly--so I would never put anybody in that position, because it stings.
I hope you will all take this into account when casting your votes. Thank you for your time regardless.
