The graphics in the 2014 app look a lot better than the previous ones. I downloaded the German version of the app today. Well, I'm rather disappointed.
Firtsly, I was pretty surprised to see the rave opening with the "Wer wird Millionär" logo because we still have Classic Millionaire here. Therefore, I don't think there are any significant differences between the new European apps.
It's great to play with the new graphics. The UK hot seat (blue lighted) in the background looks amazing. Much better than the boring purple background of the previous apps.
However, the implementation of music is horrible (as always...). The actual background cues are not used correctly. As question bed, you still have to hear this annoying Q1-5 cue from the rave version persistently. It's a shame that they didn't change this. When playing clocked, bad sounding ticks are used, not the actual clock music from the latest UK version.
Please don't waste your money on this crappy "Ask the Saviour" lifeline. I bought it and it's too disappointing. When using, you just get the option letter of the correct answer. There isn't any specific music for this lifeline. In addition, this lifeline is restricted: You can only use it ten times in general. Afterwards, you have to buy it again to continue using this lifeline. Overall, I feel quite ripped-off.
Again, we have an app which is not worthy of WWTBAM. This gameshow deserves a better realization. I'm very content with the graphics but the music and this eyewashing new lifeline definitely destroy the joy of gameplay.
Just my two cents. What about your opinions? Have you bought the app?

Thanks -------------- Edit : I feel weird to see the french opening, without some details (like "€" next to the amount and "Qui veut gagner des" on the circle) and the switch added...
The money tree (in the game) is the same as in the UK... just £ become €.
I was disappointed to not hear the big bad clock with the timer...
Just a question : Did someone know, how I can access to the game file ? boyardman, do you think that is possible to recuperate this opening ?
Thanks

Millichris, first you have to check your folder settings whether file extensions are not disabled. Afterwards you have to rename the ipa (located in the iTunes folder/mobile applications) from "nameoftheapp.ipa" to "nameoftheapp.rar". If you have WinRAR or any other file archiver, you should be able to have acces to the actual game file.
Furthermore, you have to select the Payload folder, then the following folder and afterwards the Data folder. The intro should be located in the Raw folder as .m4v file.
