I can't actually believe that there isn't a thread focused on music. I mean, personally I could talk about music for hours non-stop, but that's just me.
For the purpose of this thread, "music" does not include TV/Game Shows soundtracks. Feature film soundtracks are ok, I guess, but I'd rather that people don't go off at a tangent saying why they love the music from *insert gameshow here*.
Anyways, what music genres do you listen to? What are your favourite artists/bands? What music do you hate? Also, what do you think is the best song of 2013?
Personally, I listen to everything that is not death metal, hip-hop, or Nicki Minaj. Then again, I wouldn't call any of this "music". I do tend towards alternative rock mostly, but I don't mind a little metal, pop, *good* dubstep (i.e. not Skrillex or other pseudo-dubstep "artists") and screamo (go, Enter Shikari!!).
My favourite bands are Coldplay, Radiohead, Enter Shikari, Hadouken!, Linkin Park, Lostprophets (let's forget Watkins for a minute), OneRepublic and Imagine Dragons. Recently I've discovered AWOLNATION, which are a fair mixture of most of my favourites. Needless to say, they grew on me very quickly.
Best song of 2013? There are a few. Counting Stars is definitely there. Atlas is also beautiful - one of the few songs that made me cry first time I listened to it. Get Lucky was also big, but it didn't last long enough to be remembered. Blurred Lines is just hilarious.
