I've learned through long experience that more people have left with nothing in the American show than the UK version! Particularly before the $1,000 question! Just how many did this?
I know of two who have answered the first question wrong (and didn't notice til it was too late!)
I know of one who answered the $200 question wrong.
I know of one who wasted ALL of his lifelines on $300 and STILL blew it!
That must go on for pages! Exactly how many people left with nothing??

I'm not sure of the exact number, but you have to remember that the U.S. syndicated version is a daily show. The number of contestants on the show in one season is mind blowing compared to the number of contestants on a primetime version. So, it's only mathematically reasonable to say that are an unusually high amount of early losers when compared to other countries' shows, simply because there are so many more episodes.

Good grief, now Chris Tarrant's referred to it, just on tonight's edition! He said something like "It happened in America, people got the first question wrong," or something like that...

Has no one on the UK version ever left with nothing? I thought for sure someone from every country has missed one of the first five quesitons.
