Hey :3 I was surfing the YouTubes and I wanted to look at some foreign millionaires on WWTBAM. So I looked at Japan and France and then at Russia where I found this strange article. Apparently the Russian contestants in Millionaire take the Audiences opinion with a grain of salt as they have a tendency to get the question wrong on purpose to sabotage the player.
Post down below and tell me what you think about this and any theory's why this could be and if there is any thing else like this in the world. -Kimarough

Well, I've found an episode where Regis mentions this. I remember the German Host saying it as well that the Russian audience prefers to give a wrong vote on purpose. youtu.be/2NFYRYihpCY?t=1m15sWell, some people like to watch quiz shows because seeing other people fail is satisfying to them. Obviously, in Russia there is a big tendency towards this. Unfortunately, there are some people that are not pleased to see that other people win a lot. If I were in the Russian production, I would abandon this lifeline because this is not fair at all. However, maybe this is what keeps the Russian version alive? Who knows?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that this is what happened in the Ukrainian version - the lifeline was dropped because people were giving the wrong answer on purpose. Makes you wonder, that.
