Per the official press release, Millionaire is adding two new minigames to the lineup, on top of the popular "Thousandaire" game, to promote audience participation- "Fastest Feet" and "Team Millionaire". Fastest Feet is being billed as a throwback to the old Fastest Finger game. Four audience members are given themed cards and must then put them in the correct order to split a $1000 prize. Team Millionaire, on the other hand, pulls two members of the audience to collectively play for up to $1000. Though I do have to call one thing out on the official presser... Wheel of Fortune would like a word with you.

I think it's still a valid statement. Wheel only offers the prize to potentially one contestant and it's not a guaranteed possible outcome for everyone that plays. It's also not the primary focus of the game, but rather a perk. Millionaire on the other hand makes it a guaranteed possibility for every contestant.
These seem corny and out of place to me. Fastest Feet reeks of "we have more than two questions worth of time to kill, so let's do this instead of starting a new game with a new contestant." Being the devil's advocate here, but if they play this enough collectively to eat enough time to push one qualified contestant out of the production season, then they will have paid only a few thousand dollars for that time instead of potentially up to $1 Million to a contestant that didn't get to play in time.
Whether that's their intention or not, it will result in cost savings in the long run. I hope they somehow make it work instead of looking like an obvious, cheesy time-killing gimmick.
It's going to be an interesting season, that's for sure! Can't wait to see how it goes!

We will have to wait and see. I think these new additions of audience interaction could be good for the shuffle format. Also they are now bringing back the Host/Contestant Monitors, all they need back now is the hotseat.
Good work Terry Crews, Goodbye Cedric the Entertainer!
