Wow! I am surprised though... Surely you would want to see a big cheque being signed on the air? I know I would! Thanks for sharing these pictures of Bob house and John Carpenter guys!

My favorites would be Bernie Cullen and Ed Toutant.

I feel like John Carpenter, Kevin Smith and Nancy Christy immediately knew the answer to their questions. I especially love how each of them did it, with John's famous Phone-a-Friend move, Kevin asking Meredith to read it again (He knew the answer. He just wanted to make sure he was reading the question right.), and Nancy's story about doing a remake of American Gothic onstage somewhere. I also love Meredith's reaction when Nancy gets her question right ("We have our first woman as a MILLIONAIRE!!!") because you can tell they were both excited.

I do not know why i love him, but i think John Carpenter's Run was decent. And i was confused why he chose the Phone-A-Friend lifeline just to phone his dad to tell he was going to win instead of asking him for help. But again, John's run was pretty decent.

Pls mate, stop bumping old threads. I hardly think a three week old thread can be considered dead since the forum considers dead threads to be at least 45 days old.

I hardly think a three week old thread can be considered dead since the forum considers dead threads to be at least 45 days old. I second this. Why should anyone start a new thread when this one has been undeservedly seeing a lot of activity as of late? Especially if the bumping post includes detailed information that I would’ve never considered otherwise. Limewire, hopefully this will clear up any confusion on why John Carpenter used Phone a Friend just to drop the good news to his dad: he knew the answer, and thus didn’t actually need help. Most likely, it was the ultimate showboat to cap a run full of him showboating. As you might understand, this creates the potential for extremely dangerous and karmic results, but in retrospect, I think it would’ve been hilarious if he turned out to be wrong, like what Jeremy Clarkson did just a few months ago. This is what led to the producers (allegedly) instructing future contestants who made it to the $1m question with lifelines intact, to use those lifelines even if they were sure of the answer. Bob House and David Goodman come to mind, having known the answers to their questions, but burned their lifelines, either just to make sure, for the heck of it, or possibly because they were told to.
