Some money trees are good, some money trees are bad, but some are downright terrible! Here's one example...
Japanese Money Tree
Y10,000,000 Y7,500,000 Y5,000,000 Y2,500,000 Y1,500,000 Y1,000,000 Y750,000 Y500,000 Y250,000 Y150,000 Y100,000 Y50,000 Y30,000 Y20,000 Y10,000
Seriously, who'd risk 6.5 million yen to win an extra 2.5 million???
Know any more money trees that would be considered one of the worst? Post your response here! Can't wait to see them!

I've posted it here once and I will post it again, the Philippine one is terrible! ₱1,000 ₱2,000 ₱3,000 ₱5,000 ₱10,000 (Milestone) ₱20,000 ₱30,000 ₱40,000 ₱50,000 ₱100,000 (Milestone) ₱200,000 ₱300,000 ₱400,000 ₱500,000 ₱1 MILLION (top prize)
The only sense of gain in this is the jump from 500,000 to 1 Million. This is just really lazy!

Actually lachlan, 36 contestants on the Japanese version have won the top prize including the 8-year old girl who won it all on the kids edition. By the way, I actually made up a risky money tree of my own, based on the Japanese version, you may have seen when I used it in a twist in a RPG I was hosting. I'll put up this money tree below for those who haven't seen it. 15 $1 MILLION 14 $750,000 13 $500,000 12 $250,000 11 $175,000 10 $100,000 09 $75,000 08 $50,000 07 $25,000 06 $12,500 05 $10,000 04 $7,500 03 $5,000 02 $2,500 01 $1,250 $1,000 Of course there have been a lot of rants about the Japanese money tree, although risking $650,000 to gain $250,000 isn't as bad as risking Y6,500,000 to gain Y2,500,000, risking all that money is insane, but look at it this way, while about 44 contestants have gone for it and missed, 36 risked it all and won, so in a way, it's worked.

Spanish 2009 money tree was the worst. (12-question)
500€ 1.000€ (milestone) 2.000€ 3.000€ 4.000€ 5.000€ 6.000€ (milestone) 12.000€ 25.000€ 75.000€ 250.000€ 1.000.000€
Who'd want to risk 4.000€ to gain only 1.000€ more?

Assuming they are dead set on a 6.000€ second milestone, here's an improvement. 500€ 1.000€ (milestone) 1.500€ 2.000€ 3.000€ 4.000€ 6.000€ (milestone) 10.000€ 25.000€ 75.000€ 250.000€ 1.000.000€ If I could talk them into bumping that milestone to 10k, you could go with this. 500€ 1.000€ (milestone) 1.500€ 2.000€ 3.000€ 5.000€ 10.000€ (milestone) 15.000€ 25.000€ 75.000€ 250.000€ 1.000.000€ I actually like the idea of having Q10 still being modest money, and the jumps in the last 5 questions be huge.
