Here in the UK, they're doing FAR too many celebrity editions! It's like they're trying to kill it off; it started when the new format was introduced and they keep doing them over and over again!

Well, it sure is possible. They screwed it up when they changed the format and music. I think that where ever you saw the piece of information about the rest of the UK liking the format, was made up.

Ahem! Going through Amazon.co.uk, I found these quotes about the 5th in the series of DVD games... Really, the old format was still useful and they tore it down!

An overload of celebrity editions was a ratings stunt that they tried in the US right before the primetime version of Millionaire went off the air. I'd be wary of too many celebrity editions, because they mean that ratings are suffering.
