Richard Deeley, a Contestant from Nottingham appeared on the show on April 12, 2001. He was notable for screwing up his £32,000 cheque after receiving it and throwing it on the floor. Richard Deeley sneered: 'I won't be needing that.'
However he got his £64,000 question wrong and had to get out of the chair to pick up the crumpled cheque. Does it serve him right for damaging Tarrant's ego?

Yeah, serves him right. Chris Tarrant actually included this in his book he wrote about Millionaire and was the only contestant he didn't like, even before that incident occurred. The guy was a complete -- word I can't say on this forum -- and Chris even said he was quite guiltily happy when he answered wrong. The press absolutely hammered the guy afterwards, and quite rightly too.
