*The Opening Titles play and at the end pjbwriter emerges and stands in the middle of the set*
Hello all and welcome to a brand new edition of Who Wants to be a Millionaire - *cheers from the audience*
It's a year since we originally finished over here but we're back and though there are some changes to the format the aim of the game is exactly the same - face 12 questions, give 12 right answers and you leave here with One Million Pounds *cue more applause*
I'll explain more about the format changes in a minute - but we have two contestants ready to compete - lets meet them, They Are
*Introduction music plays Camera pans on both contestants as PJB shouts them out - both wave as the camera reaches them*
Olid2010 from Taunton
and futuresghost from Las Vegas in the USA
*Introduction music ends*
OK right then, fastest finger first - I'm sure you know the rules but for our new viewers here they are, one question with four answers which need putting into the correct order - whoever does that the fastest is the first to play for one million pounds. Lots of quiet in the audience let them concentrate, - it's fastest finger first here comes the question.
Starting with the smallest, put these four roman numerals in order A: L B: V C: I D: M
*FFF sting and theme plays*

*FFF end sting plays*
OK times up lets have a look at the order *question appears on screen*
C: I is the smallest for one B: V is next for five A: L is next for fifty and finally D: M is the largest for one thousand
OK that's the correct order, lets s
*Who was right cue plays*
Both got it right but Olid2010 was the fastest in 8.35 seconds
*Olid gets up from his seat and shake hands with pjb*
Ready to play for a million pounds? - *Olid nods and both he and pjb walk over to the computer*
OK this is Olid2010 from Taunton in Somerset making his fourth appearance in the Millionaire chair. On his last appearance he left the studio with a cool half a million. Could he double that today?
Ok then to the changes
*explain game music plays*
As you can see Olid, you have the money tree, 12 questions to win the million, with milestones at £2,000 and £50,000 however you cannot see any lifelines, so here's the changes.
12 £1,000,000 11 £500,000 10 £250,000 9 £100,000 ____________ 8 £50,000 7 £25,000 6 £10,000 5 £5,000 ____________ 4 £2,000 3 £1,000 2 £500 1 £100
You can choose the three lifelines you will use to play the game, you have a selection of five to use, 50:50, Phone A Friend, Ask the Audience, Double Dip and the Switch the question lifelines - but that isn't all. - We want you to choose from one of the five formats to play
Standard format - Three lifelines, two safe havens Risk format - Four lifelines, one haven Ultimate Risk - All five lifelines at your disposal but no havens so one wrong and you lose it all
or alternatively you can play a defensive game
Defence mode - Two lifelines but a third haven placed anywhere by you on the board or Ultimate defence mode - One lifeline but a further haven placed by you on the board so 1 lifeline and four safe havens.
One major change to the rules , if you elect to use a lifeline then you must play the question.
But at the end of the day, 12 right answers and I'll write you a cheque for one million pounds
So olid2010, which format would you like to play?
