Hey guys, So, I decided I might decide to vamp up my old still 95% completed Who Wants to Be a Millionaire PowerPoint template... I still need to fix the following flaws: -Find a way to adjust the Ask the Audience percentages (predetermined) to be logically sound if a 50:50 is used right before on the same question -Find a way to stop the $100-$1,000 question bed when an incorrect question is given (I set the file to run through about 10 slides so it can play up to the $1,000 question; can solve by triggering a new PowerPoint with just "incorrect answer" slides?)
If anyone has any ideas for any of these scenarios I will be most grateful!
In the future I think it would be great if I can find a way to rearrange the animations so that I can change which answer is the correct answer without manually rearranging all of the graphics and then the animations in the Animation Pane ... it's a real pain in the rear-end if you want to set up multiple games for a specific event... Just a thought. I have a question for you guys, maybe some of you can help out. Is there a way to link a PowerPoint text box with a cell in Excel so that if I change a text in the Excel cell it will change the text to the corresponding/linked PowerPoint text box? An example of this can be seen in BL's video of his 2012 Millionaire presentation (4m27s). Sincere thanks to whoever can help me on this matter! Zachary wwtbamfan

There's a multitude of ways that you could go about this, but what I usually do is put the first five questions (or however many questions the first tier is) all on one slide. You could link to a new PPT to stop the music, but there might be a couple seconds of lag. Another method is to put the lose slides after the 10 or so slides that you have and set the transition sound on the new slides as the tier 1 lose cue. Hope this helps!

I think that's a good idea except the reason why (and I probably should have said this in the beginning, sorry! ) I spread out each question into each slide is because if I pack everything into one slide and have a bunch of animations packed into it, my PowerPoint becomes really slow... I seriously have less than 5 GB on my hard drive... that's less than my 2007 iPod ahaha. Pathetic, I know. I have another computer with Windows 7 but it seems that Microsoft doesn't include Office in their new Windows packages anymore If Microsoft included a PowerPoint software in their Starter packages... Maybe a new PPT with a few seconds of lag could be the only way to go in this case... Thanks for your thoughts! Zachary wwtbamfan
