I just found aso.gov.au/titles/tv/who-wants-be-millionaire/clip1/ while looking for information on who rearranged the Aussie cues that were different to the UK. I noticed that in that clip, they used the UK host entrance cue and not the much shorter one used in later Aussie series. |

And a strange logo! With different fonts! And different lifeline icons!
Anyway, I believe the "Ask the Audience voting" cue was remixed as well... or maybe not... I can't tell. Hear for yourself.

I really, really don't think it's any different than normal. But I was comparing it on laptop speakers so nothing very good.
But gosh, I can't get over how weird that version is!

I was going to say the same thing. I'm 80% sure that the ATA music was coming from the live studio speakers during the recording, not put in the post-production.

It looks like it was taped onto a VHS. Of course things are going to sound different than they should.
