I have the following question from the Aussie board game from 2000 or possibly earlier which I don't think is correct anymore: What must you score to win a set in volleyball if your opponents have 10 points? A: 11 B: 12 C: 15 D: 21 I have C as being the correct answer but from my research on the topic, Volleyball is no longer scored using the system that gives that answer. How would you guys propose I rewrite the question if my understanding and research is correct?

Do you want to update the question or keep the obsolete scoring system? If so, I'd write something like, "Before a rule change in [year], what did you have to score to win a set in volleyball if your opponents had 10 points?"

That's an interesting question because it's way too open-ended. In beach volleyball, you have to have 21 points to win a non-deciding (5th) set. Deciding sets (5th sets) are 15. Either situation, you must win by two. In college and high school matches (in the US at least) you have to have 25 points in sets 1 through 4 (win by two) or a deciding set is also to 15 (win by two). If you're wanting the Australian rule, check FIVB's rules as Australia likely uses that rule set.

My copy of the WWTBAM game and the copy I borrowed when I typed the question are copyright 2000 and according to WikiPedia
The rules when the question was written make the question correct. So I think I will word the question as "What must you score to win a set in volleyball using the side-out scoring rules if your opponents have 10 points?"
I am however willing to take suggestion on better wordings or if I should use the old question but apply it to the current rules and thus change all the answers.

"What must a team score to win a non-deciding set in rally scoring volleyball match?" (25) or "Under the now-defunct side-out scoring rules, what must a volleyball team score to win a set?" (15)
For housekeeping purposes, though, I am going to move this to Millionaire Collectibles under Millionaire General Discussion.

I have another question from the Aussie board game I would like some assistance with. This time it's pronunciation hints for all the answers as I don't know enough about French. The pronunciation help will be stored in the database and will be released once all the questions are audited. So here goes:
To whom is the invention of champagne generally attributed?
A: Veuve Clicquot B: Charles Krug C: Dom Pérignon D: Moët Chandon
Thankyou

Another sporting question that is in my stack. What results in an eight point penalty for a show jumper? A: Fence down B: Fence down C: Fall D: Foot in water jump. Page 25 of www.fei.org/sites/default/files/JumpRules_25thEd_2015_clean.pdf seems to suggest that the rules have changed since the question was written or I misunderstand/haven't read the rules properly. I would probably rewrite the question as: What results in an Elimination for a show jumper? What are your thoughts?

I would probably rewrite the question as: What results in an Elimination for a show jumper? What are your thoughts? It seems the rules have been changed. Falls are no longer point penalties but outright eliminations. According to the rulebook linked, a fall of the horse or athlete in all Competitions results in an Elimination. However simplifying the question to "What results in an Elimination for a show jumper?" isn't too good as there are multiple faults that can result in an Elimination of a competitor. (Rulebook linked Article 241 lists them all.) You could maybe rewrite the question as: Which of the following results in an immediate Elimination penalty for a show jumper? A) Knocking down an obstacle B) Lose control of the horse C) The horse refuses to jump an obstacle D) A rider falls to the ground Of the four listed, only D results in an immediate Elimination penalty. The others are "delayed" penalties as they are counted as "disobedience" violations. The first disobedience is given four penalties while additional disobedience violations result in an Elimination. EDIT: Hopefully I shrunk the answers to pass the "font" test. (I don't have any way to make the graphics at the moment, still need to find a template to use.)

Do you think it would work keeping the original four answers of which B: should have been Deviation and just use the new question text? Edit: On a related note since you asked retched what do we think the correct font size is?

Edit: On a related note since you asked retched what do we think the correct font size is? Actually yes, using the proper technical terms would be advised. So it would be: A) Knock Down B) Deviation C) Refusal D) Fall And for a font example, you can try to use the following: regisfan.proboards.com/post/34111/threadroboboy: Here is how it could look using the OpenGL:

Thanks for the help with that. Now for the next one: Which mammal's intelligence is said to be second only to humans? I tend to agree that Chimpanzee is correct however have seen some lists on the Internet not listing Chimpanzee and having Dolphin up near the top. I saw one list with Chimpanzee above Dolphin but that was from 2013. Has anyone heard anything different to suggest that Chimpanzee is wrong?

That question could be fixed by adding an "According to..." clause to it. Find the most well-respected source you can, and see what they say.
