If some of your guys didn't know. Are you smarter than a 5th Grader returned with new episodes on Fox recently. The show reverted back to it's original $1,000,000 format. The show has also promised new twists in the show. I have a few opinions to share about this new version.
1) I like the new set, but the it looks a lot like the original set.
2) The new Student Profiles for the 5th Graders are nice. This makes us know the students a lot better.
3) There's really nothing new about the gameplay except for the new graphics and the question where one school wins $10,000.
4) The show really shouldn't name their episodes with the names of the contestants. It gets rid of the surprising effects of the show. If you see two names on the name of an episode, you'll know that someone won't make it to the Million Dollar Question. I rather be surprised than know who will finish and who will start a game before I see the show.
Despite a few flaws, the game was still good and I hope it stays on Fox. To end my review I would like to rate the revival on a scale from 1-10, a 6. Based on my review, what do you guys think?

I only watched the first episode of the new season and have to say I was very unimpressed. The game's format is solid enough however thirty seconds into the intro and the announcer had already given away the fact that the constant was going to see the million dollar question.
For me, this is simply indicative of most modern game shows and it is shame since it took out the tension and excitement which the show could have had. It basically made the next 30 minutes of the show redundant since you knew you could tune in later to see if the contestant won the million without having to endure the numerous ad breaks. Apart from that the show is definitely worthy of being revived and still has potential to be successful once again.

Mark Burnett is absolutely notorious for spoiling the results of his game shows.

Mark Burnett is absolutely notorious for spoiling the results of his game shows. I gather that from what I've been reading about him. I can sort of understand why he chooses to do it from a presentation standpoint(to try to attract potential viewers). I still think it's such a shame though, it just really stops tension from being built up throughout the entire game.

The spoiling definitely keeps from rating it a perfect 10, if we didn't find out in advance where the contestant is going to win or where in the game their going to get through, it would be much more exciting. All the other changed though are great. I actually like that it's now in HD like it wasn't before.
