I am just wondering, when will the beta come out? I am not trying to intentionally get rid of the dead thread warning.

Heyo. Where can I find the Beta version of this software? I'm new here and i need to get used to this
ADD-ON: I recently got the Alpha version, and I'm getting the "provider error". I do not have ANY version of office installed, nor do i wish to install office in the not too distant future Fixed!

Only the Alpha download link is there (refer to page 13), but the Beta version download link is not released yet. I don't know why, but it's that most likely the beta is still a work in progress.

Wow... this topic has fallen into disarray... and dormancy >.> First of all, if you're new to the forum and haven't pinged this thread: THANK YOU! You do not know how annoying it is to see my thread be revived by someone who comes in and begs me "where's the software?" Let's talk about what I have been up to: - Added in "Ask The Host" and made a few bug changes that wasn't found in the open beta. (I was counting on a lot of people to catch me... but I think a lot of people just wanted to use the final product. So going forward, I'm going to only offer the opportunity to help beta or test to trustworthy individuals. Or at least people who know how to break stuff deliberately and then report back.)
- Stepping up processes on the Unity side so that I know where and what to do for that side. I'm still tempted to work on Flash for a browser project but I don't know how long the Chromium browsers will support Flash Viewer. This makes things a bit hard in regards to overlay making but that's one thing I still have sometime to research.
- Started the process of making "Hotseat" available. However, the main functionality will NOT be available on the 1.0 launch. Too much time (read: over two years) has been spent working on this and I don't know if I want to sidetrack any further.
- Started the process of adding in additional parts of 20th Anniversary (UK) to the program. (Such as ATH) But stuck on another problem, read the rest of this thread.
- Fixed a bunch of bugs involving EACH of the lifelines.
- Started to tie in remote/network coding so that you can operate the controller on one machine but let the displayer present from another machine on the same network. (NOTE: You will NOT be able to remote from say another building or anything, that is WAYYYYY beyond the scope of my intended connection with this.)
Food for thought, and I appreciate any assistance, for the "second threshold": Do you think I should include the ability of setting more than just one threshold? That is after the first threshold, the player can set ____ thresholds. (Fill in the blank as needed.)
Remember the whole point of this project is customization above and beyond what you see on TV. As always I appreciate your opinions.

If you can, including the ability of setting more than just one milestone, I'm up for it. The player can set a maximum of two after the first. Also, has the software in the Alpha download link modified after the updates you just mentioned?

retched All this progress and you've been at it for over 2 years. That's SOME dedication. I've started at the beginning of the thread just to catch up, and if you haven't gone to page 1 yet, hoo boy, YOU'RE IN FOR A TREAT. It's like watching a documentary. Go and have a full read of all pages when you have time. Can't wait for full release.

Wow! I love this cool game! 🤩🤩🤩 I got the Alpha version as of now.
BTW, will this work on Windows 10? I hope it does. 🤨

Holy crap, this project looks amazing! I tried making a controller myself while initially learning Visual Basic (using only VB) but I gave up on it due to how difficult it was. I still have a ways to go in learning the language but this really inspires me to get off my butt and improve! Keep up the good work!

Where's the download link? Please. Please don't do this. I removed the link to the beta of the controller screen since the test was done. Graphics aren't ready yet. That's the next thing I'm working on. Holy crap, this project looks amazing! I still have a ways to go in learning the language but this really inspires me to get off my butt and improve! Keep up the good work! Thank you. One of the main things that worried me was dealing with a graphics engine or possibly Flash but I managed to get around that with ease. Wow! I love this cool game! 🤩🤩🤩 I got the Alpha version as of now. BTW, will this work on Windows 10? I hope it does. 🤨 Seeing as though I'm developing it on Windows 10, it should definitely work for Windows 10. It SHOULD work as far back as Vista but I might nix that support soon. Not sure.

retched, are some or all of the problems submitted by users via Google Forms been resolved? By the way, they are regarding to the Alpha Version.

retched, are some or all of the problems submitted by users via Google Forms been resolved? By the way, they are regarding to the Alpha Version. Read yours. It was about the error/warning that pops up about the "not enough questions" for the difficulty. That's by design. I only have at best 70 questions inserted, and the distribution of difficulties is quite atrocious. It should warn you which difficulty that you selected and which difficulted was used instead. Anytime you play a question (read: click "Show Question"), the database is updated to say that you showed that question. The default "New Game Form" will process your stack by always trying to give you questions that are NOT USED (meaning the database "date played" field is blank.) If that fails, it will give you a question straight out at random from another difficulty and if that fails it will go nuts and pull ANY question (played or not) to fit that slot. The Ask The Audience > Show Correct Answer bug has been FIXED. That was one of the first things I noticed after the last beta. The other bug that was reported, rather an error, was the unhandled database exceptions that occurred on the launching of the program as it couldn't connect to the Access "accdb" database. There is a series of drivers that MUST be installed from Microsoft called ODBC drivers. Otherwise, the program will fail. I'm looking into converting the database to the older 2003 MDB file format to see if that can alleviate some issue (or make an actual install/setup program instead of just copying the files to install the redistributables instead). I'm trying REALLY hard not to have everyone install something like MSSQL Express server just to satisfy this but database are an absolute MUST with everything that is going on in the system.
