From 1998, the classic version intro of WWTBAM has been widely used in many variants in more than 80-90 countries. And I always have that question on how did they do that? Because I always think that it maybe CGI, Projections, Photoshop etc. And occasionally I rule them out, but then it sort of came back to me! How did they show question marks, currency sign, purple circle and Spirograph patterns on people during the intros!
What do you think guys? What do you reckon they use in the intros?
Many Thanks WWTBAMFANGAMER

What makes you think it isn't CGI? Makes the most sense to me.

Intros from the Philippines, India and Vietnam (possibly more) the projections of the different elements seemed to have moved or shaken a bit whilst the shapes have been formed and appeared to be in different sizes. It could be finalized by CGI, but the projections may be not (at the start)
