I saw @divvy's post in his BBE thread in Creativity about how in the classic version of the show that the Q1-5 question cue was not played on the studio's speakers. I assume that was the case with countries that used the UK Rave music? Were any of the other cues from the album not played on the studio speakers?

As far as I remember, all of the other cues still played. Lifelines, Ask the Audience, Final Answer. At least in the US.

In the US, we had a tendency to edit the heck out of those first five questions, even eliminating the "Final answer" dialogue, to free up more show time. When this many edits is happening, you don't want the music playing in studio, because every edit will be noticeable. I don't know how much of the UK show was edited typically. If they don't edit much, they probably played the music throughout.

Do we know how much of the intro sequence was played in studio? I imagine that the intto sequence on the album is actually three cues - the first section ie. What happened last episode, then the theme most of us know and love as the second section and finally the host entrance cue the third section. At the least, I would expect the host entrance to be played in studio and maybe the main theme since I have seen evidence (in the video clip for Is That Your Final Answer) to suggest that the graphics sequence that goes with the main theme ie. The second/middle section is shown on the projector screens on set above the audience.

The second/middle section is shown on the projector screens on set above the audience. You are correct in all of these assumptions. If you were in the studio during a live broadcast, you would see the pre-recording of "What happened last time" with Regis voice over, then the introduction video/music is played (audience readies their applause). As the music ends, we cut to Regis (or whoever is the host) as the audience applauds and start from there. As for graphics on the screen, yes they are played on the projectors and the screen on the above screens too. While it wasn't asked, the current Chris Harrison shows are run in a similar way: Audience simmers down. Harrison does the cold open in the darkened studio. Then the logo/introduction theme is played as Harrison walks over to the host podium where he does his introduction. Off to the side, a producer/stage manager instructs the contestant to get ready under the main projector and on cue the contestant walks toward Chris and takes their place at the podium. Hope this helps.

Ok so retched, thanks for sharing that. From what I have seen, in the later UK series, during the intro sequence, the host and contestant screens show the logo. Was that done in most other countries? Also I am slightly confused about the lights down/let's play cues. Are they all unique or just the q1 q5 q10 and q15 for example?
