I personally found writing these questions quite difficult because of the rise of google! Mwhahha. But being completely honest I got my inspiration for the Dendrology question from David Edwards's 'Quercus Robur' question! As for the Parliament question this was just complete and utterly my imagination. After watching a very interesting program about the making of UK millionaire and how they actually have a 'bank' of questions on their systems they talked about the Million pound questions and how they are constructed ! But what I personally believe they do and what I did was create the meanest question Imaginable and give it to some poor sod! P.S Did you google the answers ?!

And I'm in the US, so I have no idea about how Parliament works. (And I thought our US Electoral College was complicated.)

Dendrology is a grade school science subject. I wouldn't put that higher than the first milestone.
As an American, I have no idea how difficult the Parliament question would be to a Brit.

Aha, thanks for the feedback about the Dendrology question as for the politics I personally think that it is quite obscure, In the UK we have items such as Tropisms and other bizarre items required by the AQA exam board , anyway im going of on a bit of a tangent ... these questions or now question on British politics is entirely designed for the UK and the UK only. It is an interesting topic I believe could be quite interesting to know more about. Anyway this is neither the time or place for a conversation or conference on differences between the British and American education systems !
