Since RPG 50 is coming up, I was wondering if we are going to do anything special for it, kind of like we did for the site's 5th anniversary, as 50 seems to me to be quite a big milestone. I know we are not quite there yet, but to me it seems more than likely that we will get there.

What I learned from the Fifth Anniversary RPG was that we shouldn't try anything too ambitious with the RPGs. If there are too many moving pieces, there is a lot of opportunity for things to fall apart. Also, the leadership in the RPGs is much more varied now than it used to be - there are some great hosts and computers, but most tend to disappear partway through the game. I'm not opposed to an RPG 50 celebration, but it has to be feasible and there have to be some dedicated players willing to work to make it all come together.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Even though im new here ... prehaps a Millionaire fans themed question set , about various items that have gone on over the years (e.g users work) and you being the admin prehaps you and FinalAnswer19 being both of the contestants or even maybe the hosts ! Im saying now that with prehaps other help from freinds here on the forum that I would volunteer to do this and be the computer. Thanks  |

I'd advocate a live RPG50 done over Skype or some other medium.

I'm very reluctant to do any video-based RPGs, live or otherwise, due to a nightmarish experience trying to coordinate quality RPGs of this nature in the past.

RegisFan Maybe we can use Skype for the 50th RPG. I'm guessing we can do that if anyone wants to do it. I think he literally just answered that question. If y'all want to organize it and do it on your time, that's fine, but we won't be organizing something of that magnitude. |

Here's what I propose: the top ten highest money winners from the RPGs (that are willing to compete, host exempt) compete in a Fastest Finger round. Only two games will be played for the RPG. If the staff agree, maybe there could be a celebrity question in the style of the US tenth anniversary series. I also agree to having Millionaire Fans themed questions here and there. It's a bit of an ambitious idea, but I think it would be the most fulfilling "special edition" RPG while still operating in a timely manner.

You guys are welcome to use my 3D studio if you want a more realistic feel, but you'd have to create accounts and download the software. I don't know if that'd be a deal-breaker. Skype would be mandatory if you wanted to use the 3D studio. Typing is way too cumbersome.

Although I like your idea, GSK, (and anyone else who's said about Skype games) I think anything using a set start time that is only 1 or 2 hours long isn't fair on people who live in different timezones, cause it may start at a reasonable time in your time zone, but that may be at around 2/3am in someone elses time zone. |

 A leaderboard of the total winnings so far. If I've made any errors, please let me know because there is a lot of info to sort through in the RPGs. RPG 49 shouldn't affect who's in the top ten, even if both win the million.
EDIT: 11/30/15  Well, RPG 49 didn't change anything as far as standings go. These are the current standings as far as RPGs go. |

I think the host(s) of the RPG should be members who have proven themselves to be good, reliable hosts in past RPG's. (I.e. Staying active and keeping the game running at a steady pace), also I think one way or another graphics should be used to make the game look a bit better, just because it's a 'milestone' RPG. Unless of course RPG 50 is something to do with the Christmas Surprise...  |
