So apparently everyone was pretty happy when Chris Harrison took over Millionaire this season. His performance has been praised too. Now, I've been wondering, despite all the praise, who of you actually watches the show on a regular/semi-regular basis, now that he has been doing it for two months? Has your opinion of Chris changed maybe? Or did you notice anything else about Millionaire this season that changed your opinion?
To this end, I've created a poll. Obviously, this is primarily for those of you who live in the US, but if you're from abroad and you have a means of watching the show (apart from a handful of YouTube videos), you may take part as well. Of course, I'd love to hear the reason for your decision, so do give a little explanation if you want.

I haven't really watched the show since the show went Shuffle. I watched a few shows here and there with the previous hosts and I wasn't a big fan of them. Chris is a fantastic host. I've watched more episodes with him than the previous 2 combined. Unfortunately, I've been extremely busy with school to watch the show, but I do like that he says the whole title rather than just 'Millionaire' when starting a game.

Christ Harrison is reasonably good, better than Terry Crews, Cedric the Entertainer and dare I say, Meredith. Regis is still better and it'll always be that way. The show went back to semi-normal but I think the music should see a change.
The shuffle score suited the shuffle format, some elements of the music doesn't fit anymore and therefore needs a change, either new scores that increase pitch by a semitone or else wise.
We need chairs, 2 of them with PCs in front, and for that to be at the centre of the studio.

As i am an Australian, I feel like if i voted, it would be a wasted vote.
I would though like to give my two cents and talk to you about the state of Millionaire in America (from my perspective)
If Chris Harrison does get the gig for the 2016/2017 season, it would be the beginning of some stability because he would be the first host to host at least two seasons in a row since Meredith. If America's Millionaire just reinstates the seats and the original Strachan music, they would almost have the best representation of what Millionaire was on the original version
If Chris Harrison does not get the gig for the 2016/2017 season, things would be bad for Millionaire.
If America was to change the host (again) for the next season, it would be an unbelievable five hosts in five seasons (if you include the last season of Meredith)
I would think that the people making Millionaire would not want to go through their 5th host in 5 seasons.
If Chris Harrison fails as host, Millionaire would most likely be killed off air in America.

Don't watch, because our affiliates don't get it here. I would otherwise, loving quizzers as I do.
Having heard something from a question writer, they're not expecting another season. The turnover starts at the top with the host. I'd be stunned to see another season of this in the USA. While I like Chris as a host, the ratings don't justify a renewal. They tried rebirth, and it isn't happening. What reason should they renew it? I just don't see the costs of the show justifying its existence for another season.

I don't know if it's the best thing that could ever happen to it. Unless it means it falls back to ABC... Also I appreciate this article's insight about the whole email scandal. Still trying to see if I can some of those emails.

If it falls back to 2waytraffic/Celador/Sony, it means we would almost certainly see the classic format, the UK rave format, or the UK clock format.

US clock is better than UK clock, the music is better and the appearance is better.

Let the show rest for a couple of years, give it a charismatic host, a good budget, and a decent timeslot, and it might work again. I don't think the format is that big of a factor, but using Classic Millionaire as a starting point would probably be smartest. Americans will be most familiar with it and they can always tweak it later, should the need arise.

I thought the reversion of the format so that it was reminiscent to the classic days was an improvement. I've been a fan of the show since I was two, and I felt that the U.S. format didn't need to distance itself from that of the rest of the world like it did.
Last season I legit saw only one episode of Crews Millionaire. That was only because the syndication in my area made it impossible for me to actually see it on tv, because it just didn't work with my schedule. I'm happy to be able to watch it regularly this season, which I started ever since seeing a clip from Second Chance Week, where I got a glimpse of the revised format. It's still very hard to win $1,000,000, but in a good way.
I would think the rave format would be a good idea, because that appears to be more reminiscent to the classic format than what we have. The jury's out on whether the tension in the rave format would match the classic format (I myself prefer the classic format), but I think it beats our current version.
I was skeptical on how Chris and Millionaire were going to work out together, but I'm impressed by the kind of tension he adds to the show by delaying whether the contestant is correct. I would really like to see how Chris would handle someone going for at least $500,000. Does anyone else miss Meredith's fakeouts? The show could use more of those.

I suggest that Chris's reveals are better than Meredith's. With Meredith, if she ever took longer than three seconds to reveal, you knew you were right. With Chris, he could get to vamping, and you might actually be wrong. This makes the fake-outs more effective.

Him saying what last amount I had, Him tearing the check.....seeing it fall to the floor...... oh, my heart. Then finding out I won more money then the last, makes me cheer. I miss those days.......good days.

Here's my problem with that. Has Tarrant ever torn up the check, then told the contestant he was wrong? As soon as that check is torn, you know you won.
