I bought the app for $2.99. This is what I think of it.
Most of the (default) questions are Australian of course. For me that is a plus.
I believe this is also available in New Zealand (Hello Kimarough) If you somehow can get this app outside of Australia or New Zealand the Australian questions will be a minus.
You can get 2 additional question packs for additional money. I have not got these yet.
A casual pack containing 1000 questions is $1.49
A TV and Film pack also containing 1000 questions is $1.49.
You can play up to 4 people. For some reason you need to do a single player game first to unlock this feature. A great addition is not only can you type your own name, you can add a photo of all of the chosen contestants.
Unfortunately Anne Hegarty is not a chaser in this app currently (even though she is in our TV version)
Thankfully the other three can face you.
My prediction is expect a update to this app very soon because "The Beast" is coming to our TV version in 2016.
Hopefully with an upcoming update, you will be able to go up against all five chasers.
Music is different to what I hear in the Australian TV version. Some bits are improvements to the music, some are the same and some are horrible and need to be fixed.
A example of a horrible bit of music would be during the individual chases. They use a modified version of the cash builder music.
Examples of good improvements is the music used during the selection of the contestants.
Another improvement is the final chase music. This improvement is so good, in my opinion they should use it for the actual TV show.
Overall I rate this app currently a 6/10.
If all of the chasers were represented and the additional questions were in the game by default, then it would be a 10/10
