No really... that's the show's name...
Hosted on US cable/satellite station POP (aka formerly the TV Guide channel), the show is quite possibly the easiest premise of all game shows. It's a light-hearted format, that I'm still trying to figure out how is it taking 30 minutes to film...
Premise of the game - All of the show's questions are 50:50 chances, true or false. Played by two people, the group will take their time walking through a minefield trying to get through 20 questions and sorting out their general knowledge.
How it's played?
- Round Zero is the builder round. Taking turns over the course of 100 seconds total, one player will answer 10 of 20 questions determining if they are true or false. After the first 10 are done, the game switches over to the other player who finish the rest. (If the clock expires... any remaining they're automatically wrong.)
- Round 1 : After a brief interlude, Michael Ian Black, will let the players know roughly how many of their choices are correct. (Half of the are right, Less than half are right, etc.) At this point, the players can select five of their previous responses (in 30 seconds) and determine if they are correct. For each one that the players choose which are correct, the players will score 500 points. If all five are correct, the score doubles from 2500 to 5000. (Points become dollars in the end game.)
- Round 2 : Repeat round one but the players can change the answers of the five selected before they are revealed.
- Round 3: The money round. (End Game) Once again, the host will tell the players how many of the remaining answers are right. At this point, the players will be given a chance to choose another five of the now remaining ten topics. No time limit. Again the players can change their answers. However, the scoring changes... Each time the players are correct, the players bank a total equal to their score. (5000 points become $5000). However, if the answer is incorrect, the banked cash score loses a zero ($5000 becomes $500. If they missed their first response, the banked score stays at zero). After the players make a choice on their fifth selection on whether to keep or pass, the host will then reveal the other five topics. He normally does this until there is now one wrong answer and one right answer. The players cannot change their true/false response at this point... BUT they can change which of the two they are riding on. Same scoring as before. If the players can bank five correct answers in a wrong, their bank becomes double and they have a chance at winning $100,000 (How? 5 correct answers in round one = 2500 x 2 = 5000. Repeat in Round two for another 5000 points. Entering the final round, the players are at 10000... five correct answers doubles their $50,000 to a would be $100,000).
==========
And that's it. Literally the simplest premise of any game show I have ever seen. Thoughts?
