Currently, Millionaire is using a pseudo-classic format. It's the closest to 1999-2006 classic format by, but it's not completely the same. As much as I like the current musical score that they are a using, myself and probably lots of other members of this board would prefer if the show switched back to the original Strachan cues.

Reason I went with Barbara, is that she worked with two former ABC/NBC colleagues who were also game show hosts in their own right--Meredith Vieira for the first 12 seasons of daytime Millionaire, and Hugh Downs of Concentration (which will never see the light of day again, thanks to the greedy folks at NBC).
Chris Tarrant isn't a bad choice--if Anne Robinson did well hosting Weakest Link on our shores (as she did on hers), why not let Chris have a shot hosting over here and see how he likes it?
Two other choices:
1. Kenny Mayne of ESPN's 2-Minute Drill. Michael Davies, the man who brought Millionaire over here, also brought this show..and Regis was one of the panelists in the first season championship game on Christmas Day 2000. He even mentioned to Regis that both shows had a connection--one being Davies involvement, and the PAF clock sound for the two-minute timer.
2. Ben Bailey of Discovery Channel's Cash Cab. This show is similar to Millionaire, in a way, with the Mobile and Street Shout-outs (similar to the Lifelines). Only difference was that all questions were open-ended.
What do you guys think?

Another one I could think of was Pamela Wallin of the Canadian version, but since she's in office now, she's out. Only reason I suggested her was that another Canadian, Howie Mandel, did both the US and Canadian versions of Deal or No Deal.
And another possibility could be Ben Stein of Win Ben Stein's Money.
Thoughts?
