Does ProBoards have a way of making posts by new members subject to moderator approval before they are posted? This might help curtail some of the new users who bump every old thread they see with nonsense.

I can look into it, but honestly I don't feel that we should have to do that. It is the responsibility of new members to read the rules and act intelligently on the boards. If new members ignore that responsibility, then they can only blame themselves for the resulting consequences.

I echo what RegisFan said. I think we've discussed this before among ourselves but drew the same conclusion. We don't want to have to hold their hands. If they're immature and/or can't be trusted, that makes itself obvious.
Additionally, if we were to institute that feature, the staff would be the only ones to see what the new members are doing wrong, and might result in uninformed Audition votes if the entire board didn't see the whole picture, like they currently do.
Hope we answered your question!

I agree that people should be reading the rules themselves, but we've certainly seen that a vast majority of new participants don't do that. Good point about the informed audition votes though.
Thanks guys!
