You know, had Disney not overexposed the old primetime version of Millionaire, I think they could have added a Spanish version of the show on Univision, presumably called Quien Quiere ser Millonario. I remember Deal or No Deal having a Spanish version titled Vas o No Vas on Telemundo, and I think a Spanish version of Millionaire would have been interesting. Are there any Latinos on this board?

Technically speaking, they're could've been a US version of the show but Disney isn't keen on making it.
Sony could license, at their discretion and provided it doesn't conflict with ABC's contract, the rights to the show ... But Disney/Sony isn't interested in producing it themselves. So that means it falls to Telemnudo, Univision, Telefutura/UniMAS, MundoFOX, etc and it seems they aren't interested in buying the rights to produce such shows, not sure if they're up to paying that hefty license fee. (They did do "Minute To Win It" after the original NBC airing... so there looks like a market for English hand me offs.) Heck, Don Francisco did the Chilean version of Millionaire roughly at the same time of ABC's Millionaire and Univision's "Sabado Gigante" and it was great for what it's worth. Not sure why not tape it down in Miami so he wouldn't have to travel far.
