I've always thought that the set monitor used behind the hot seat during the Netflix weeks should be a permanent addition to the set. Apparently, the producers agree, as the monitor as been added to the regular set of Syndicated Millionaire as of this week. Most of the time, it just shows the Millionaire logo, but sometimes it flashes to shots of the contestants. It's a great addition, and it reminds me a lot of Super Millionaire.

Definitely, me too...I'm glad the producers of the show have kept this screen because you can do some cool stuff with it (for example a camera that is both showing when a contestant is pondering over a question AND the screen in the background displaying the player from another camera angle!)

That's a good idea. Also, the screen could be used to display Ask the Audience results.

I don't think the monitor showed ATA results, but before season 7, it showed the logo which would switch to show the title of the lifeline being used. Today, upon reaching the 1st/2nd milestones (and sometimes on a rare camera shot), it will show the amount of money the contestant has won.

In my opinion, this monitor is just... a bit useless.
We have the screen on the top of the set, and it's showing what? The logo, and some amounts of money randomly? This one is already not used for a lot of things, adding another one is, as I said, just useless.
If they want something there, what about adding this transparent box with the "million dollars" inside? This should at least look like "We're giving away a bunch of money", which is (relatively) not the case now.

I love the new screen! I wish though, instead of after $5,000 and $25,000, it would show every dollar amount. It really adds that extra 21st century feel to the show that it's always had.
