Dear Millionaire fans,
I would like to wish you all a merry Christmas and wish you all had a great time with friends and family!
The reason why I'm posting this on the 'creativity' section is to showcase what I've been working on over the last few weeks/months, I am creating my own millionaire graphics with Cinema 4D and After Effects, inspired by the different versions that have been created for the show since its inception. I plan on using these for when I do a 'Millionaire' show with my students, to make it extraordinary. I decided to make the graphics blue (because it's my favourite colour) and borrow ideas from the different graphics packages:
- the 3D logo is based on classic millionaire (for the general layout and fonts), Super Millionaire (for the 'rounded' 3D millionaire font) and the current US graphics (for the colour scheme)
- the backdrop is based on the last set of UK graphics (for what I call the 'atomic structure', which is rotating and each branch is evolving), the rave version (for the backdrop, I've used the real background but I'll change that to a custom made one that will be animated once I know what plug-in they used and I find the 'right settings' to make it look as close to the real graphics as possible), the current US Millionaire Graphics (for the optical flares around the logo) as well as the Clock-era graphics (for the lights on each side, which I wanted to make them look like the set projectors)
- Finally, I made a 'Christmas Millionaire' version of the graphics, based on the 2002 graphics with the same snow flake in the centre of the logo and 3D-rendered snow flakes. I also used pictures of frost to create a frosted window effect.
Here is the result:
N.B.: The graphics that I have made in the past have been used without my permission (or stolen) so I don't plan on sharing them for now, and if I decide to share them, only a handful of people will get (some of) them, so no need to ask! Of course, I'll share some snippets here, I'm currently rendering a US Dollar version of the logo (I've done euros, international, and I might do other currencies in the future).
Let me know what you think,
Again, Merry Christmas to y'all,
Idolsfan
