I think the UK version of Millionaire could've lasted a lot longer had they set up a new host to replace Chris Tarrant when he retired from Millionaire. So, do you know of any British personalities who might possibly have been fit to be handed Chris's hosting duties?

Nobody. The show had already ran its course and new shows needed to be given a chance. E.g. the Chase and Tipping Point.

What if more people wanted to play? I noticed towards the end of the show's run that they were doing nothing but celebrity "specials", so "The People Play" seemed more of yet another special than a standard episode. Perhaps Ravi from The Weakest Link might have become Britain's sixth Millionaire had the show gone on a little longer.
So, "nobody" is not an answer. Chris Tarrant isn't anything like Anne Robinson.

I think if they change the way he speaks I mean instead of "Hello and welcome to who... Millionaire " they tell "Hello and Welcome to the final answer game who... Millionaire " just a bit like that, I think millionaire can come back

Millionaire " just a bit like that, I think millionaire can come back Changing one thing wouldn't have made the show change the outcome. During the episodes with the clock, he did change his welcome dialogue but the show at that point was no return. In the US, the show had to change to survive. The host's personalities affected the show's feel. Chris was good as a host, and I don't think how he did things was ever a problem. I believe the show's production and lack of changes killed it over time as nothing really changed. The US version was slowly dying when the shuffle era started. Meredith's replacements were not the best fits in my opinion. Thankfully, Chris Harrison is an awesome fit as a host

I think that despite the ups and downs, it's still rolling. And if the US version hypothetically comes to an end, game shows will never be the same.
