This just popped into my head, seeing as though PAF and +1 are similar in one way or another, each having their unique concepts. PAF, of course, enables the player to call one of his or her friends, who provided their phone numbers to the show in advance, and give them 30 seconds to provide the correct answer. In later years, this was often prone to, as Meredith referred it, "Mr. Internet", as many Phone a Friends would look up the answer, which led to the removal of said lifeline late in the Clock format's lifespan. Plus One, which debuted during the final Shuffle season replacing one of the Jump the Questions, has a similar concept, except your friend is with you in studio, and they have an unlimited amount of time to discuss the question and come up with an answer. What I want to know from the consensus, is which one do you think is better, in your opinion, and why?

In this day and age, Plus One is probably the one to go with. I just wish it hadn't replaced one of the Jumps during Terry's stint.
I think I recall either Regis or Chris Tarrant encouraging the use of Mr. Internet during its early run, but even then, you only had 30 seconds so it wasn't like the Phone a Friend was a sure shot to win the million. At least your Plus One has all the time he needs to tell you he has no flippin' idea.

I'd say the biggest advantage to PaF is being able to have several to choose from. You only get one Plus One.

I reckon if I had to pick one, it would be Plus One, purely because, even though you only get to choose one person, you can talk about it for longer and get a well thought out decision
