I've been up to another little creative project to add to this board: the question graphics. Annoyingly enough, these took weeks to complete because it was very difficult to shape the 'hexagons' accurately.
We begin with the original design, which lasted a good nine years between 1998 and 2007. And, for 1998 at least, these graphics were definitely slick. The Conduit font was used for the writing of the questions, along with Copperplate for the letter options. A gradient blue was implemented into the outlines of the hexagons to give them a metallic finish.
Next is the 2007 design, which came into effect with the show's first graphics overhaul. The question graphics weren't altered significantly, although they weren't recognisable to their original blue and black state. Instead, they were given beveled lighting effects, which admittedly did look better. What spoiled these beautiful graphics, in my opinion, was the fact they abandoned the lovely Conduit font to be replaced by the default Verdana - eurgh.
EDIT: texture added
Finally is the 2010 look. For the first time, the fill had changed - the signature black became purple, which was a cause for concern for some viewers as it meant the contrast between the black fill and the white text could have caused a sight problem. Another feature that came along with these graphics was the terrible clock format. A series of dots, corresponding to the amount of time the player had to answer the question, were placed above the graphic. These dots featured a gradient from green to red and as the clock ticked down the colours would disappear. To many, including myself, it was a ridiculously bad decision to add a clock to the game, since it destroyed the tension caused by the player thinking in the classic format. It also forced players to use up their lifelines early in the game. Alas, these graphics had the shortest time on the show before Chris Tarrant left, resulting in it being given the axe by ITV at the beginning of 2014.

Open to any comments and criticism. Please tell me what I could do to improve!
