After submitting an application and doing a brief Skype interview, I'm going to Vegas for the Whiz Kids version of Millionaire. I'm under no illusions that I'm going to make some money, I just auditioned for fun. That being said, I wouldn't be averse to making some money. Do any of you have any tips for me? For instance, should I study/cram? Do any of you have any strategy tips, or advice for keeping calm and collected under the lights? Anything is appreciated as I'm fairly nervous about this.

I think David Briggs said it best when he said these on a documentary: "... and I like to try and say to them all, 'Look, you've come from... Timbuktu, you know, Scotland or around the corner in Wembley or wherever you've come from. For crying out loud, just enjoy yourself here. Because if you have a good day, at least, if you take some money at home away with you then that's a bonus. But just have a good time with us because... It's a kind of fun day out - I think most people enjoy it - and that's what it should be.'"
"I think... people understand better how to play the game now, but I don't think it's been that much of a benefit for them. Because at the end of the day, you've got to know a little about a lot not a lot about a little. And so, the more academically qualified people who come in and are brilliant in one area, sadly, don't know who Bart Simpson's mom is. And that's where it all falls down because the questions are *incredibly* diverse. They know how to use their lifelines slightly better and they probably have a better idea of the sorts of questions that are going to come up. And in the middle of it all, you get these wild, wonderful people who come in probably not having studied anything or thought about how to play and they just go... for fun. They're here for a laugh and they're great and they do quite well sometimes."

Congratulations!
As a format contestant, I can tell you that the staff of producers, and Chris Harrison too, will be really good at putting you at ease so that you can be the best you possible. You're going to have butterflies, and that's okay. Embrace them. Once you get out on that stage, you're going to feel a rush like you've never felt before, and that's a good thing. Just remember: win or lose, you're gonna come away with some money, and you're going to have the most fun you've ever had.
Gameplay advice: The biggest advice I can give you is to take your time. Especially on Whiz Kids Week, they like to ask mental math related questions. Don't feel like you need to rush to a lifeline if you can't work it out in 20 seconds. Take however long you need to work it out; just remember to talk it out.
As for preparing/cramming, decide what subjects you are weak in and focus on those. Don't bone up on subjects you are already strong in.
To get a general idea of the questions they ask, check out wwtbambored.com. They have transcripts of previous games. Look for previous Whiz Kids Week contestants.
Have fun, and good luck!
