Hey Folks, Long time no see, hope all is well with everyone. I'll be over in Vegas this Friday through Monday the 14th, but I'm catching the 11:45 tapings before I hit the road. If anyone has any requests for pictures of anything in particular or whatnot, reply and let me know, I'll do my best. And, if anyone will be in town or attending that taping, say hey! -Mech

See if you can sneakily get photos of backstage and behind the large wide screen. The waiting area is right behind it, so depending on where they seat you, you might be able to get some. Thanks!

Was a fun taping. Our session was 4 episodes long for Restaurant week. Man, those end-of-episode 60 second applauses are brutal hahaha. I was right behind the contestant playing with all the +1 lifeline folks for that day. Most of the pictures I took were video so I'll edit some this week when I get home.
A couple callouts, the hot seat doesn't seem to be for anything special. They are basically using it to hold the "break" sign, and mostly seems to be there just for nostalgia. Not looking like therr are any plans to use it in play for anything.
The "host screen" (for lack of a better term) makes a bit more sense now after seeing it in person. Once an answer is given, if incorrect, the correct A, B, C or D will pop up on the screen just under the Ask the Audience lifeline icon. If correct, nothing pops up. I was sitting right next to the big monitor version Chris looks at and got a point blank closeup of it (since I could physically touch the screen lol). I'm on my phone so I can't upload but I have the clearest picture of it to date that I know of and will upload this week.
Was fun, but MAN those audience seats are the most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat on and the whole thing took about 4 hours. Yikes.

I've always wondered that. If the audience can see the verdict on the screen, I'm surprised that people don't react early more often.

Oh they're going to have to throw out the whole week of shows i was at then. They didn't tell us not to (i don't think people were looking at it anyway) but my friend and i are in the in-frame seats directly behind the contestant and I didn't even attempt to conceal the fact that I was checking the board on every answer if I didn't know for sure they were right, lol. Pretty sure i made a "aw crap" face on at least one wrong one lol I can't upload pictures from my phone because they are too big. I sent finalanswer19 the game board pine and asked him to pass it along for me when he gets a chance. I'll trim the video I have down to size and throw it on YouTube when I get time. I just had it running for the last act of a show (honest I didn't realize it was on when I laid it down at the end of the last break!) And just kept it going for the walk off the set, off stage, waiting/testing room, parking lot, and the entire walk back to my hotel on the strip. Suffice it to say I'll cut out all the sensitive gameplay stuff and the street walking

I was sitting in the area directly right of the large screen, so I paid attention to the expressions I made, but it didn't stop me from looking to the left at the game board screens.

So that hand drawn arrow is where the right answer shows up if the contestant is wrong? And if the contestant is right, nothing appears?

Sorry for the delay, here's about a 9 minute video comp. Sorry, putting this together on my phone is a pain and time consuming though perhaps I'll put together something with the other clips and still images I have. youtu.be/18b52-G4Kq4This is just a "between shows" entertainment segment while Chris and the contestant change clothes, and a sped-up walk off the set that shows some quick views from other parts of the set and a fairly unexciting quick backstage moment as we were heading to the parking lot. Hey, something at least for now. /edit: oh and I think it was GSK that said in a post that it looks like they have the overhead truss from the old set hanging above the new one - you're correct, it is, you can see it a few minutes in.
