Hey great wise people, Greetings from India...!
I am creating a WWTBAM powerpoint based game and I want to add some background effects to questions.
The thing is, YouTube has all the old cues/score of the classic millionaire, but because I do not intend to break any copyrights or rules here, so I wanted to ask you guys...could I add those cues to my creation which I'll submit as my creation during audition ? Or is it okay to use the old classic cues ?
Thanks in advance ! CHEERS !!

I guess I'm not totally clear as to what you're asking... Greetings FinalAnswer19 ! Okay I'll go by points. I want to create my own WWTBAM game using powerpoint, which I will submit here. - I want to add some background sound to questions. - YouTube has got all the old classic millionaire sounds of questions. - I thought of adding those sounds. - But then a thought come to mind that if I do so, I make be doing copyright infringement, or maybe breaking some rule of presentations here. What I'm asking is that is it okay to use those sounds or should I use some other sound for my presentation ? Cheers !

If it's just the ORIGINAL question music, that's no big deal. If you have the other music, (win, lose, lights, final answer, etc.) then, no, that's too much. You do need to give credit, though to the composers of the music.
No UK, clock, or specialty music.

Just for clarification, does this also apply to non-PowerPoint applications?

thepixelpolygon, sorry for the delay, we didn't forget about you. As long as you're using ONLY the original set of cues (ones available on the CD released in the UK years ago) and the music isn't able to be extracted or otherwise ripped from the program.

OK, so for the most part, I was able to use the music cues as embedded resources (it's in the exe itself), but due to technical limitations, I have to use just a couple of cues as files (they will be inside a hidden folder). Is it OK?

That should be fine. Just exercise your best judgment and make the cues as secure as you’re able to.
