The subject title only allows you to put so many characters into a title; I was originally going to call this topic "Why doesn't Disney release international Millionaire merchandise in the U.S.?", but it cut me off. Anyway...
What I've noticed at the international Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? website, which is owned by 2waytraffic, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment, is that all of the majority of the merchandise is released everywhere else in the world, except the U.S., because in the U.S., Sony Pictures Television doesn't own the rights to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire; Disney does. The U.S. version of Millionaire is distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television, and as I noted in an earlier post, when original Millionaire production company Celador licensed Millionaire to the Walt Disney Company, it allowed Disney to do what it wanted with it, including diverge from the rest of the world in terms of music, set, format, and merchandise, as well as overexpose it, leading to its primetime burnout and subsequent relegation to syndication. (Disney has a tendency to overexpose cash cow franchises if they make it big in pop culture.) Very few international Millionaire merchandise has been released in the U.S., because Disney won't allow it. Why is that? Personally, I think Disney should give up half of the rights to Millionaire to Sony, so that they can tweak the format to resemble the European versions, and then they can release the merchandise here. And then they can partner with Disney to release Disney-themed merchandise.

Did anyone pay attention to this message? I see that you've been paying attention to all of my other messages, but what about this one?

Well, if Disney gave half of their rights on Millionaire to Sony, then it would indeed improve the format in the US. At least that's my opinion, since the Shuffle format may be quite decent, but not really related to the classic format of the show.
The only question that would remain is: Would Disney really want to give half of the rights to Sony? After all, they've already released the U.S. - themed merchandise, so if the merchandises of the international format and the U.S. format were combined, what would happen to the main format of the show?

I'm sorry, but I just wanted my questions answered. The only reason why I did it was because it wasn't getting enough attention.

The only reason why I did it was because it wasn't getting enough attention. You waited less than a day. Potential reasons why you didn't get any replies within the 22 hours-or-so time span you waited before double posting: - You're annoying people with the five separate threads about the same topic.
- Some people do not visit this forum every single day.
- Some people do not post threads or reply on this forum every single day.
- No one had an opinion one way or the other about this thread.
- You didn't wait long enough for someone to have an opinion about this thread. Whether or not M64P would've replied without your double post, we may never know.
- At least one person on this forum is waiting for the inevitable sixth thread about the same topic.

Serially breaking the rules isn’t something that’s just absolved with repeated apologies. You must show an intent and willingness to change.
