Well, we all know the classic format as it has been - it was dramatic, suspenseful and intense. Later, all these elements were raised at a higher level as the clock had been implemented into WWTBAM. There may have been many international versions which have used the clock format, but today, I'll be taking a look at the U.S. clock format - the one to introduce the clock. Here we go!
When the syndicated version of Millionaire was introduced, it didn't have many differences aside from the classic format, only a few different rules, Fastest Finger First being removed and Meredith Viera hosting the show. But in 2008, the new clock format was introduced, and many changes were made from that point: new rules, new lifelines, WAY more emotion and pressure and - best of all - a new soundtrack! Now, the contestants had to be quick with their choices and act fast - otherwise they would be forced to walk away with their earned amount. Fortunately for them, the time increased when they were reaching the guaranteed sums, and they also banked the remaining time that was left when they had answered the question. At this point, the game got more interesting, since the clock had been used in multiple ways. But what do you guys think? Was it a good idea to implement the clock in WWTBAM? If so, what was the best thing about it?

Although I don’t really understand what’s the point of you going over the rules of the clock format, I will have to agree with you. The clock format revamped the show to make use of the new technology of the time and to breath some fresh air and variety to the already long-running show. As you may know, for me the music and graphics remain the best to this day.
