Hello everyone!
I saw the Fan Games section a few days ago, so I read the rules. Turns out this community is much more solid than I expected and I like that. I didn't originally intend to share my complete game, I would only release graphics and sounds to this site. But after seeing the Fan Games section, it seems like a secure place to share. Anyway! I have been into Millionaire since 2001, when I think I was about 5 or 6. As you may have read in another post of mine, this show is the reason I got to creating graphics and learning how to use them as best as I could. I can't really implement the more advanced graphics I am making in my presentations yet, although I am working on it.
I would like to audition to enter the Fan Games section as a game creator. I haven't been into the community for long (I'd love some instant chat feature for members, but oh well), but I am here to stay. It goes without saying, I have no intention of sharing your work with others -I wouldn't want my work stolen either. I have actually at least one complete game to share with you if I am allowed entrance. Today, I uploaded a video with a demo of the game (the link is below), but due to my screen capture software I couldn't capture the sound. It does contain both sound cues and music though, for all actions that require it and is fully editable from fonts, to sounds, to graphics. That game was created from scratch and took too long to make since everything was done manually with hyperlinks and slides.
If I am honest I would really love to see and edit the work of others here, in order to improve my, admittedly not great programming skills. These edits will of course only be available members of the Fan Games and only if the original creator permits it. In other words I am counting to the games in the Fan Games section to act as a fun guide for me into the world of programming just as Millionaire once was a guide for me to enter the world of graphic design.
Whatever the result, as much as my time allows, I will continue to contribute to this community, not just with ideas and not just by exclusive Fan Games content, but also with free content for all members of the site.
I hope you all have a great time!
