This is certainly exciting news, but I wouldn't get too excited just yet. The main source of this news seems to be The Sun, which is obviously not the most reputable source of information. This doesn't mean to say it must be fake, but I'd take it with a pinch of salt for the time being, especially as they made the exact same story a few months ago.
Also, most of the articles say that the show is EXPECTED to return, so nothing is certain just yet. However, The Sun itself does claim the deal's been done, according to their sources, but I'd wait for official conformation from either Sony or one of it's child companies, or Jeremy himself, or at least for it to make more reputable sources, like the BBC or The Telegraph, for example.
Assuming that it does go ahead, I'm glad to see that the company supposedly in charge is a part of Sony, meaning that hopefully we'll get the Classic or at least Rave Format. There is of course the possibility of getting Hot Seat, so let's all keep our fingers crossed that that doesn't happen. Of course there are still other questions that need answering, such as the channel it'll be on (It won't be the BBC, due to Jeremy getting fired from there a few years ago due to punching the producer of Top Gear...), whether there'll be ordinary people playing or celebrities, if it'll be filmed at Elstree Studios or somewhere else, will they use the clock, will the top prize be a million or a bit less, etc.
I personally think Jeremy will be a good host. Will he be as good as Chris? Probably not, but you never know. Do I think the show will be a big success like some of the articles claim it will be? I'm not sure. I don't know if people will be willing to risk large sums of money, especially with the current uncertainty with Brexit. They will have to advertise it very, very well, I think, for it to be a big success. Hopefully it stays on ITV, so it'll get a potentially higher exposure than if it were to move to Channel 4 or 5.
Like I said, I'll be remaining cautiously optimistic until there's some reputable/official sources, but I really hope this is real XD

Oh, I don‘t know. It just doesn‘t feel right for me. Original UK Millionaire dragged on for at least two years too long, and I think it‘s too soon to bring it back. Besides, I‘m not a big fan of Jeremy Clarkson. Then again, I don‘t think I‘d like Chris Tarrant very much if it weren‘t for Millionaire. Clarkson might be good. And then there‘s the question of the budget. Millionaire‘s too expensive a show to work with okay ratings.
I‘d be more than happy to see the show come back as a big success, but I‘m just not very confident.
It‘s The Sun reporting, though, so there‘s a good enough chance it‘s bull. For what it‘s worth, I‘m pretty sure I already saw announcements for Clarkson Millionaire a few months ago.

I'm doubtful this is true considering the source, but I want it to be true so bad!
I think Clarkson would be a great host. He's a good interviewer, as evidenced on the Celebrity segments on Top Gear.
This could give the show a new lease on life as well, having someone known around the world and being quite popular, could help bring in a bigger audience. Chris Tarrant was only known by people in the UK and die-hard Millionaire fans overseas.

I do not know who this guy is, but if it's indeed true and the UK version is coming back, hopefully he'll be the Meredith to Chris' Regis.

Personally, I am very excited to see Millionaire return to the UK, i've wondered for years who would end up taking over Chris as host and I look forward to seeing how well Jeremy will do. I am hoping however the clock doesn't make a return.

If I had to make a guess, I think it’ll either be the 2010 format pre-celebrities, or the international blue graphics format. There is obviously a small chance of the Classic format or something else, but we’ll have to wait and see I guess.

It looks Jeremy’s tweet makes this official. Very exciting news! Here’s hoping they give the show the proper revamp that it’s needed for years while staying close enough to the elements we all know and love.

I read this some days ago and I was so intrigued! Clarkson is known in Greece because of Top Gear obviously but I think he can be funny, sarcastic and dark all at the same time! I would love to see a version of Millionaire besides the US one... Let’s hope they’ll have the original sound cues as well!

I like the fact that the original WWTBAM is coming back, but even I'll admit, it won't be the same without Chris. He brought something special to the show, in my opinion, and he pretty much became a household name because he hosted the show for its entire run. It just won't be the same for me.
