This is another topic discussing how you would play your lifelines. There's already a topic about how you should play the 50:50 and Ask the audience, but now let's take the 50:50 and factor in the phone a friend. (or in today's game, the +1)
In your opinion, would you play the lifelines in a specific order, or does it even matter for these two lifelines?
Personally, I don't think it really makes a significant difference but I do think it's smarter to Phone a Friend/+1 first. The reason being is that if you phone a friend/+1 and they don't know the answer, at least the 50:50 hasn't been burned yet so it gives you a couple of options, especially if you were already at one of the safe havens. If you were at those safe havens, then you could guess freely and either try to get more help from the 50:50, or try to save it for later.
If you used the 50:50 first and then the phone a friend/+1 and they didn't know it, then both lifelines have basically been rendered useless unless you have an idea as to what the answer is after using the 50:50.

does the +1 lifeline have time limit, like Phone-a-Friend's 30 seconds? In an untimed game, no. The +1 stays on stage with you for the duration of the question and persists through other lifelines (aka: They stay if you swap the question with Cut the Question, stay with you for 50/50.)

For the life of me, I cannot understand the mindset of those thinking that 50:50 should go second. Like, if you already plan on using both lifelines, on the same question, doesn't it make better sense to present your friend with 2 possibilities, instead of 4? And even if you don't plan to burn 2 lifelines, which is obviously the most likely sceenrio, if you burn your PAF lifeline and get an unsure answer you WILL use another lifeline and you can only hope that 50:50 will include your friend's choice. If you burn your 50:50 lifeline and you are still unsure, your friend has a better chance of giving you a guess because he is not going to be confused with multiple options.
In either case I am very glad that the poll in my original thread has sparked that much of a discussion!
