Well it is! There hasn't been a single £500,000 question since 2007! Up to 87% of the contestants go home with just £75,000! Only 3% of those win £150,000. And the other 10% have won something else (say £50,000).
Think about it; you're up to the £75,000 question, and have only your 50:50 left. You're asked something like, 'What does Luke Skywalker become when he's older?'. You use your 50:50 lifeline, and get the question right. For your £150,000 question, you're asked, say, 'What's the chemical composition of titanium disulphide?' and straight away you have to take the money! Stupid, isn't it! And supposing you do get to the £250,000 question, you'd be asked something on 15th century Italian architecture or something difficult like that.
How can this be called a fair contest?!?!

Pardon me if I sound rude (sorry if I am rude here), but are you saying that someone on the British version of the show will see the first £500,000 (or possibly the first £1 million) question since 2006?

I just think he's upset about the game's difficulty level. And I feel his pain, because the U.S. syndicated show gets rather difficult on the higher tier questions as well. But the producers just can't make the game so easy that anybody can walk away with the grand prize. There does have to be some difficulty level to it. All it takes is the right contestant.

It's probably because the contestants don't want to take big risks.
Last week, there was a guy who walked away with £75,000 while he would have gotten the £150,000 question right, had he played on.

Oh, you are joking.. no-one wants to take big risks these days! I suppose that's the same reasons that no-one's reached the big one in the US show...
And speaking of that contestant, well, I don't think he even thought about it enough before he acted. If he'd thought about it a little longer, he'd have got it!
