You'll need your nostalgia goggles for this one! I took a screenshot from the original PC game and recreated it in HD.
I do have plans to make more.

Ah yes, this brings back so many good memories of my first PC, a good 'ol Gateway running Windows 98. I'm just glad that in this recreation, Regis left the name alone. Usually, if you type Regis in as your name, he'd usually change it to "Wannabe", or something like that. Great work, Frank!

It wasn't just "Regis" - also "Regis Philbin", "Philbin", "Phil Bin", "John Carpenter", "Dan Blonsky", and "Joe Trela". Also, failing to type in a name in a timely enough period for Regis's tastes would earn you a different one: "Kathie Lee", "Cody", or "Gelman". This game did indeed bring back many memories for me as well. It was a well-made game. I thought it was years ahead of its time in terms of musical accuracy. That might just be because it was made by Buena Vista among others, but in all my years of Millionaire-ing, I have found no other game that duplicates the music used in the show so accurately. To think this game was made in '99!

I remember playing this game, though I haven't played it in many years. I might pick up some of the games for PS1.

That might just be because it was made by Buena Vista among others It was actually made by Jellyvision, nowadays known as Jackbox Games. They're also creators of the YOU DON'T KNOW JACK franchise and the amazing and numerous Jackbox Party Packs. They're trivia fans, and always put a lot of love and attention to detail into their products. Messing with player names is one of their trademark features; they did it in pretty much all the YDKJ games (if you named yourself after a swear word, for instance).

I factchecked just to be sure I wasn't mistaken: see this video link. youtu.be/uBMVWInh1pw?t=41sThat being said, it would make sense for Jellyvision, not Buena Vista, to be the ones responsible for the quality of this particular PC game...

I'm fairly certain Buena Vista were merely responsible for production tasks (such as licensing the music, getting Regis into the booth, organizing question writers, all that pizazz), and that Jellyvision was solely responsible for the development and the meat of the game. It just bears far too many hallmarks of typical 90's Jellyvision games. If you've ever played any of the YDKJ games - Vol 3 and The Ride in particular - you'll immediately notice the resemblance.
