Mmm... Not too sure... Simple Simon I recall about pies... Peter Piper was a tongue twister... That leaves the 2 behind... I am going to say B... Only because it does sounds like a rhyme of "Muffet" and "Tuffet"
B, final answer

You have $3000. *the audience applauds*
Otherwise it wouldn’t be a nursery rhyme, now would it? Now, question #5 would guarantee you $5000 if you answer correctly. Here it comes.
To which historical female figure is the quotation “let them eat cake” most misattributed, as there is no record of her actually saying it?
A: Elizabeth I B: Marie Antoinette C: Cleopatra D: Joan of Arc

Mmm... I would say Marie Antoinette, since she is pretty well know for saying that during the Revolution... Even though it may be false... I can't prove that point *chuckled a bit*

It’s the right answer! You’ve won $5000. *the audience applauds as the q5 correct cue, and then the q6 let’s play cue plays*
So, you breezed through the first five questions, and you still have all your lifelines. But from here on out, we’re only playing for big money. The questions will be getting harder, but again, you have those lifelines. Question #6 is for $7000. Here it is.

We can certainly do that. Computer, take away two of those wrong answers, please. Post -------------------- As is traditionally done on the show, our computer, JCEurovision will now provide for us the correct answer and the one remaining wrong answer. -------------------- End

*after the 50/50 sting plays, I look at my screen to read off the remaining two answers*
So it’s down to ‘beginnings’ or ‘caveats’. Again, ‘big things have small’ what?
You might as well play here, but you have got two other lifelines if you need them...

I honestly do not know about this one... But I guess it's B, only because I never heard of the word 'Caveats' and 'Beginnings' sounds more believable.
B... Final answer...

*the q6 final answer cue plays*
Right answer. You’ve won $7000. *the audience applauds as the q6 correct cue, and then the q7 let’s play cue plays*
One question... had I re-worded that quotation like this: “Big things come from small...” would that have made more sense to you? Do you reckon you’d have been more inclined to pick that answer?

Maybe... I would still be unsure... But then I would've narrowed my choices to 'Beginnings' and 'Dreams'

Interesting. I wouldn’t want to be inadvertently confusing you there. But anyway, you’ve got $7000. Have a look at question #7, for $10,000. Remember, you have still got two lifelines.
On 17 November 2017, a celebrity special of which UK game show was featured as part of BBC’s Children in Need Telethon?
A: The Weakest Link B: Mastermind C: Eggheads D: Pointless

It's pretty easy. I am going to say A because of the buzz we had back in the UK if it's going to be a full series of not after Children In Need.
A, final answer

Not Eggheads? *the contestant shakes his head* Not Mastermind? It’s the right answer, you’ve won $10,000. *the audience applauds as the q7 correct cue, and then the q8 let’s play cue plays*
I have to say, I’d have been disappointed if any game show enthusiast didn’t know that. I remember watching that special myself, and I heard there was indeed some talk about new specials coming next year, but still nothing’s been set in stone.
Right, I can now tell you that you’re halfway home — seven more correct answers, and you’ve have a cool million. The drops are going to get a little higher: you lose half your money if you give me a wrong answer here, but if you’re right, you’ll double your money. Question #8 is this...
Which of these African countries was previously known as Basutoland?
A: Swaziland B: Mozambique C: Zimbabwe D: Lesotho

Post by wwtbamfangamer on Jul 9, 2018 14:03:54 GMT -5
Okay... This is tough... I know it's not Mozambique and Zimbabwe... Mozambique was Portuguese and I haven't heard of any Portuguese countries using "land"... Zimbabwe was Rhodesia... So that's between the landlocked countries...
I think... It's Lesotho... But I am not too sure... The only reason I have... is that Basutoland doesn't have "Swazi" prefix... and I want to save my lifelines for later questions...
D, final answer
