You maybe thinking... "Oh god really?" and "There is a play for that..."
But stop right there, because this one is going to be a different idea altogether...
The Synopsis
David Briggs
, Steve Knight and Mike Whitehill had a dream, a dream that would see a show
that would not only change people's lives but capture the hearts and minds of the viewers,
by giving people a chance to walk away with a £1,000,000 to contestants with drama and excitement
The only way for it to happen, is to get help from Paul Smith from Celador Entertainment,
which however, puts the company and the trio in a lot of pressure. This is their story,
the inception of the global phenomenon of the most watch quiz show of all time...
Now you may think, well we all pretty know how they've done it and what they've done.
But the point of the idea, is to have this extended in to a film, but making it a roller-coaster ride,
that sees the true emotions of producing the show more dramatic for the viewers. But also seeing
the pressure, and the desperate desire of the trio and Celador wanting this show to work and bring it on air.
And that would slowly bring in the dramatic music and cues used on Millionaire.
There will be scenes of the pilot episode, the set designer and building of the set, the trio and Smith
looking nervous, angry and hopeful. But also amazed at the final result of the show in the UK, and how it became an
international success (The success would be the final part of the film with the closing cues... spoilers XD).
This is just me explaining the concept of the film, and what I think should be like. It won't be in production, but something
we should talk and discuss in detail if it were to happen ^^
(This is sort of an inspiration from the docudrama of Doctor Who "The Adventures of Time and Space)
