From Buzzerblog:
"Can you believe the syndicated edition of Who Wants to be a Millionaire is having its thousanth episode of the series? It’s crazy. The show is celebrating by giving home viewers a chance to win money and, for the first time, tweaking the gameplay for just one week. From November 5th through November 9th, twenty people each day will be getting $1,000. Also, for that week only, they will remove the first five questions. This means contestants win a thousand automatically and are ten away from a million with all lifelines intact. Who Wants to be a Millionaire starts a new season on September 10th. Check your local listings."

Hmmm I wouldnt mind if they made that permanent. That would definitley speed up the gameplay a bit. Lately I always find myself changing it to another channel when a contestant starts from $100, I think it starts to get interesting from the 6th question! Plus they could show more of the contestants thought process instead editing the hell out of the episode like they usually do.

Ah, good. We've got one thing in common for a while: removing some easy questions.

I read about the UK version's new money tree as well as the 1000th episode of the syndie version. I've entered all this week and intend to enter everyday.
