As I've mentionned earlier in the shoutbox, Millionaire is back in France. I have not really lot informations about this comeback, the last episode was January 1st 2016 for a celebrities special. The only thing that I know: It will be the last J-P. Foucault's show (still with celebrities), and will pass his role, definitively to Camille Combal on the same show. I'm also planning to be in the audience for this very special taping, who will probably be next month.
J-P. Foucault has choosen by himself his successor, hoping that's a good choice.
Last year, I've heard by a french radio, Europe 1, that Ara Aprikian, the actual TF1 program director, wanted that this gameshow returns in access. Maybe it's going to be finally real, after 9 years?
Just after six months, about the UK 20th Anniversary revival, TF1 plan to relaunch Millionaire. Coincidence...? Saying by relaunch, there's a new host... Does it mean, maybe.. new set, new graphics? Back to the classic OST? New money tree? New gameplay? So much questions, that I can't really answer. It will be revealed to me, soon. For now, I'm just curious to see how Camille Combal will host this emblematic gameshow.
Will it be a success or a complete fail...?

I just hope at least one revived version will reuse the classic graphics (that whose widescreen version was used in the UK from September 1999 to April 2002)...

This Saturday night, during the "Miss France" hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault, TF1 has already started to tease "Qui veut gagner des millions", with Jean-Pierre Foucault, and his successor: Camille Combal youtu.be/HKoKr7TFtjoIf you listen well at the end, you can listen to the original OST of the show. Which would mean, a return of this theme? |

This Saturday night, during the "Miss France" hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault, TF1 has already started to tease "Qui veut gagner des millions", with Jean-Pierre Foucault, and his successor: Camille Combal youtu.be/HKoKr7TFtjoIf you listen well at the end, you can listen to the original OST of the show. Which would mean, a return of this theme? Hmm... By watching this video, I think the classic soundtrack will be reused too. I just hope at least one revived version will reuse the classic graphics (that whose widescreen version was used in the UK from September 1999 to April 2002)... Sadly, I think the classic graphics wouldn't be reused. Because many international versions have used the blue Rave graphics since 2007. |

Clairly: I doubt that they will re-use classic ost or graphics... Speaking about music, I've seen few TF1 trailers using classic Sdtck but the whole show used "re-energized" cues. Plus, in France, we're not very, very...... very innovating. The only big change has been seen in 2014 with a new brand set... Since few months, I realize that I have to agreed with firsts GSK impressions, I quote: I think the French set is still FUBARed.
More I'm rewatching lasts Millionaire EPs, more I have to dislike this set...
To conclude: I'm not expecting a single change for this revival.

"A single change" like I said... except a new host at the end of this special.
As the taping hasn't been recorded yet, 100% sure, I can't say more. Wait and see.
First revelations to me in few days. I will do a quick report when taping will be ended.

I'm curious how the studio will look like. Recently, it was quite strange, I hope that they will return to classic shapes.

Nice twist on the Chris Tarrant show.
The final episode of Millionaire UK as a regular show before the 20th Anniversary episodes had the Final Answer subtitle as well.
