I've been an immense fan of Who Wants to be a Millionaire since my childhood, and I can't believe it's nearly been 20 years since the show aired in America.
I'm not going to go on a whole tangent about the 2010+ version of the show, but the short of it is that I'm HEAVILY disappointed in the format on multiple fronts, leading me to stop watching this version entirely.
When the 20th anniversary of the UK show came along, it got me thinking. That show returned to Millionaire's roots with the 15 questions, the old music, gave a little bit of a spin with the GORGEOUS new studio, Jeremy Clarkson, and the two new rules. It really made me feel like a kid again watching all of that live.
And now this August it would have been 20 years since the American version aired. What do you think they'll do for this one? I sincerely hope they'll at least bring back the old format and the Hot Seat, even if it is for a week.
Anything else you guys would want for the 20th anniversary?

Well, time flies...
I remember watching John Carpenter's final question, which made me start watching the US version. With Regis, it was brilliant. With Meredith... still amazing.
But what made me grow tired of it was the format change. The iconic music, the Hot Seat, the understandable format... everything associated with the show was (almost) gone. Although the Shuffle music isn't bad, it sounds generic.(I don't really like the Rave music either, but at least it still fits the show)
Even the UK and the Italian versions made the "20th Anniversary" special, so I definitely want the US to do the same thing. And... I hope they'll bring the Hot Seat and the Strachans music back.

Wait, Italy has one too? Does it mirror Clarkson's show? Yes, Chi Vuol Essere Milionario returned with the "20th anniversary" special. But I don't really understand what your second question means.

But I don't really understand what your second question means. Does it have a similar stage to Clarkson's version? Ask the host? A variable second milestone? Or is it just its own thing?

Does it have a similar stage to Clarkson's version? Ask the host? A variable second milestone? Or is it just its own thing? 1: No. They used Milionerzy's set. 2 and 3: Indeed it had Ask the Host and an adjustable second safe-haven. Even the AtH lightnings looked similar to the UK AtH.
