I have seen a few rumors about Season 18 and perhaps Millionaire not being renewed. Has anyone heard anything?

but the question now is, was Internet already up there in the 1860s? jump to the topic, if the cancellation happens, what will happen is the "curse of no hot seats". Why do they still get rid of the hot seats, FFF, and the Strachans' musics? since late 2010, I have never assumed the U.S version as the true Millionaire show anymore. |

Maybe if the cancellation rumours are true, they’re cancelling the (mediocre) syndicated version in favour of a return to UK-style episodes to celebrate 20 years?
May be a long short, but it’s still a possibility I guess.

I sure as hell HOPE they're bringing the classic format back! There were a lot of very subtle hints at the taping I went to in July that pointed towards a 20th anniversary special in 2019. coasterrocker88 saw these same hints at his taping, which included two brand new hot seat chairs wrapped in plastic backstage, the older light rigging and spotlights from the primetime era above the current set, the addition of a fifth spotlight to the sides where the old Fastest Finger podiums would sit (one spotlight per podium), and, in coasterrocker88 's specific taping, an ABC executive and the show's executive producer were apparently on set testing primetime-style lighting settings. My bet is on something happening in 2019. If this is anything to go by, we may very well get it, too. |

I realize it’s all speculation but there’s a lot of it going around right now. |

One tweet but no source at all. Why would I trust that cancellation rumour?
(But honestly, they really shouldn't have changed everything on the show so drastically that it became (almost) unrecognizable like today.)
